A story of growth, transformation, and future.
A story of vision, strength, and evolution.
Nine decades of commitment
and dedication.
Since 1928, JRU Group has driven a way of doing business that combines vision, strength, and continuous evolution. Across generations, we have built a group that brings together experience and innovation, developing solutions that transform spaces and create new opportunities. Our history is one of sustained growth, guided by strong values and a forward-looking perspective.
Today, we are more than a group of companies: we are a dynamic, evolving project that brings together tradition and modernity in every initiative. Each development and every decision is aimed at creating real value, leaving a lasting impact that transcends time and shapes new ways of living and working.

1928
Business Origin
In 1928, J. Ramírez Casalderrey Carpentry Workshop was founded, marking the beginning of a business trajectory based on craftsmanship, technical excellence, and a long-term vocation.
This first project laid the foundations of a business culture focused on quality workmanship, responsibility, and long-term vision.

1961
Model Expansion
Under the leadership of Mr. Juan Ramírez Piñeiro, the company expanded its activity into the construction sector, incorporating new technologies and consolidating itself as a comprehensive service provider.
1978
Technical Platform Consolidation
In 1978, DICSA was established, consolidating an in-house technical platform capable of delivering the full execution of complex projects. This step marked the professionalization and structuring of the group’s operational capacity, laying the foundations for a model based on direct execution control as a key element of solvency and risk mitigation.
1989
Asset Diversification
Construction begins on the A Freixa hydroelectric plant, now HIDROFREIXA, incorporating the group’s first energy asset with recurring generation. This milestone represents the entry into long-term asset holdings and sector diversification.
1992
Corporate Structuring
A corporate restructuring formally established JRU Group as a consolidated business group, bringing its different business lines under a single structure and strengthening control mechanisms and strategic coordination.
2017
New Phase of Development Specialization
After decades of residential development, the group launched a new phase of specialization and structuring in property development through the establishment of ZOE Home. This decision reflects the commitment to operate under vertically differentiated structures, strengthening financial rigor, comprehensive process control, and risk optimization in each project.
2022
Development of the Cooperative Management Line
ZOE Gescop was established as a company specialized in the comprehensive management of housing cooperatives.
This new line expands the group’s residential model through the structuring, planning, and technical, legal, administrative, and financial management of cooperative projects, enabling members to access their homes at cost price under a professionalized management framework with full process control.
2023
Strategic Repositioning of a Tourism Asset
The group acquired a hotel complex in Lanzarote with the objective of carrying out a comprehensive repositioning of the asset.
The project involves its transformation through horizontal subdivision, full renovation, and subsequent individual marketing of the units as residential products, applying a value-creation approach based on active asset management and urban and technical optimization.
2024
Development of Hotel Assets with an Operator
The group has launched a line of hotel asset development focused on identifying strategic locations and the comprehensive promotion of each project.
In these developments, the asset is promoted by the group and, once completed and handed over to the operator, begins generating recurring income through leasing, consolidating a real estate model aimed at creating rental income and optimizing the long-term value of the asset.
2025
First Forward Funding with an International Operator
JRU Group completed its first forward funding operation through an agreement with the international chain Travelodge for the development of a hotel asset in Madrid. The operation involved the identification and structuring of the project by the group, followed by the transfer of the asset to the operator, who acquires ownership of the property for direct operation.
This milestone consolidates the group’s ability to structure real estate developments in collaboration with international operators, expanding its value-creation model to include developments with direct delivery to the end corporate user
